The Buyback
I spend a lot of time at my local. Often I’m rewarded for loyalty by way of the buyback—the bartender picking up one of multiple rounds. It’s an appreciated gesture that is more common with locally owned places rather than restaurant chains, and just one reason I come back time and again for more. Pro tip: If you’re afforded this kindness, always remember to tip on the round on the house. –John Holl
