Emerald City Beer Co.’s Dottie Seattle Lager pours amber from a 16 oz “tall girl” can. Slight dirty laundry water smell (think earthy, sweat sock pale ale notes) with mild prickly carbonation. Medium body mouthfeel that borderlines on thin. A modestly bitter (25 IBUs), sessionable (4.9 percent ABV) beer with a sweet malty backbone. A moss-covered, river stone-accentuated, orange rind finish. An every-man’s beer for drinkers who like their beer fresh but not fussy. Available in and around the Greater Seattle area.
