What does springtime in Raleigh mean to you?

It means the tents are going up in historic Moore Square, Raleigh in anticipation of another sell-out crowd for the World Beer Festival on Saturday, April 14th.

We want to invite you to join us and get your beers in front of this rapidly growing audience of beer enthusiasts. The first World Beer Festival was launched seventeen years ago in Durham as a way to introduce the public to the wonderfully diverse, pleasurable world of beer.

Year after year, we’ve used feedback from attendees and breweries to improve our performance and to make the festival more enjoyable and effective:

• increased local sales

• exposure to a large, profile audience

• exposure to distributors and retailers

• brand building opportunities

• market research

Our ability to deliver in these areas makes the World Beer Festivals a primary marketing activity for a great many breweries. In this package, we provide you with statistics that demonstrate how our festivals deliver as well as testimonials from a range of people in the industry.

Some of our most recent improvements include:

• After each festival, we get survey responses and demographic information from our attendees. We are sending those results to participating brewers to help them in their marketing efforts.

• Distribution of a list of participating breweries—with descriptions of their beer— at our partners’ retail locations. These pages will be a reference, and potentially, a shopping list for patrons. This list will also be published on our web site.

• To continue to emphasize our belief in beer education, we are launching a competi- tion at each festival for the booth that does the best job of raising the attendees’ beer appreciation. Judging will be done by a panel of industry people, and the winner will be announced immediately after the festival via a special newsletter to all the attendees.

World Beer Festival—Raleigh also features The Art of Beer. We want to take our attendees farther down the path to beer appreciation, and explore brewing ingredients and methods, beer selection and serving methods to enhance a culinary experience, and the history behind the beer styles. Ultimately, these changes will broaden and deepen the festival’s impact.

Art is important to the community. It is why we have chosen Artplosure as our charity. Our donations help to underwrite their popular spring arts festival, which annually attracts an audience of over 80,000 people. Both Artsplosure and World Beer Festival—Raleigh have a direct economic impact on downtown business. It’s a symbiotic partnership and the reason behind the double entendre of our Art of Beer campaign.

We are committed to creating an essential experience in which to enriched peoples lives through beer while growing the community.

  1. Please arrive by 10:00 a.m. to decorate your booth and arrange your beer.

Please list below the beers you would like at the festival.
  1. We recomend 10- 12 cases or 2-3 kegs per style. Below each beer, please provide a two to three sentence description of each beer, as well as the style category. The style and the description will be listed in the festival program handed out to attendees, please pay careful attention to spelling
  2. *Please note the World Beer Festival will not provide draft equipment. We will provide tubs for packaged product as well as ice for all beer. Brewery and distributor representatives are responsible for bringing draft equipment the day of the festival and removing any equipment or merchandise at the end of the festival. The World Beer Festival is not responsible for any equipment or merchandise left on the festival grounds.
Beer Delivery

Pre Party Beer
  1. Share your beer with fellow brewers at the pre-event party the night before the festival, April 13th. Quantities recommended, 2-3 cases or a 5 gallon keg.
VIP Beer
  1. The festival will feature a VIP area. This is a unique opportunity to showcase special or reserve beers that are not at your booth. Recommended amount 2-3 cases or a 5 gallon keg.
Staffing
  1. Please list the Brewery representatives that will pour the beer at your booth.
  2. The World Beer Festiaval provides Brewer T-Shirts for the brewery representatives. Please list the t-shirt sizes below, maximum 4 t-shirts.
Accomodations
  1. The festival will provide complimentary hotel accomodations for Saturday night, April 14th at the Sheraton Downtown Raleigh.
  2. We will reserve a room for your Friday night stay, if needed.
Saturday Accomodations
  1. If you checked the box above indicating that you would like to reserve a complimentary room for Saturday night, please indicate which room type you would like to reserve.
Friday Accomodations
  1. If you checked the box above indicating that you would like to reserve a room for Friday night for the reduced brewery staff rate, please indicate which room type you would like to reserve.
  2. Please note all hotel requests must be in to Angela by March 17th to secure accomodations. Also, please make all requests and changes for accomodations directly with Angela versus calling the Sheraton, the front desk staff may not have the most up to date information. Thank you
