This fine Bohemian-style lager has good aromatics and a great hop character, with a carefully-tuned balance. This is a memorable effort, worthy of one’s full attention. The hops are a special delight, but then, I am prejudiced in that area.

  • Garrett Oliver

This beer has an odd name and a full gold color showing a bit of haze. The head is white and fluffy, but doesn’t last. The nose is very malty, but the beer shows some age—my sample seems a little oxidized. The hop bitterness is moderately snappy and full-bodied; bready malt follows through into the finish. This is a standard Czech “pilsner-style” beer that probably tastes great in Prague, but is tired from its journey. Find it fresh and have it with smoked salmon.

  • Michael Jackson

Head not very well retained. Full golden colour. Sweetly perfumy hop aroma, reminiscent of summer meadows. Malty sweetness coming along behind. Dryish palate. Very slightly thin, but smooth. Slightly oily. Firm hop finish, with lemon zest and spicy medicinal notes. A dryish, cleansing session beer with some subtleties of flavor.
