Copper-red color—too dark for a true IPA—but the aroma is amazing, a complex blend of spicy and herbal hops, candied fruit and biscuity malt. Spicy hops dominate the palate, but there is a good balance of ripe orange peel and creamy malt. The finish has an iron-like bitterness, but there is compensating tart fruit and rich malt. Refreshing and rewarding: the perfect companion for blue cheese.

This beer presents a joyous head for the listener, and the rich mahogany color will draw you in to itself. But don’t worry; you’ll love being there because it’s nicely balanced, even though the hops seem a bit reluctant to express themselves as well as one might hope. But nevertheless, the malt balance here takes care of that faint inadequacy.

Amber in color, with reddish hues. In the IPA style, it’s quite hoppy. But this is tamed by a foundation of creamy, caramel notes laced with honey-glazed citrus and toasted malt. Indeed, Red Truck sure can rev its big engine and show off those shiny chrome wheels. But those bucket seats in the cab are so soft and comfortable. Somebody pimped my beer!
