Tempting gold color with a fine beaded head of foam. True Pilsner “nose” — rich corn, hop resins and a hint of toffee. Juicy malt and tangy hops fill the mouth. The finish is long and quenching, with light citrus fruit, gentle hop bitterness and sweet malt. A superbly made beer.
Here’s a quiet, but expressive head with nice aromatics. Much better than one would think, considering the green bottle. This is a well made brew and a good cut above most other green bottled beers (i.e. Heinekens and Becks). Too bad I didn’t mow my lawn, because this beer would be great for that, much better than expected, but if I had listened closer to the head, I’d have known what to expect: real quality.
Powerful citrus and pine hop aroma with some caramel and honey pinned down behind it all. On the palate, everything is massive — the malty body, the citrus fruit, the warming alcohol, and the monster bitterness on the finish. My taste buds have surrendered. They’re crying “uncle!” They are battered and bruised and need some serious recovery time to heal and regenerate.
