  • Garrett Oliver

The beer has a full yellow color and raises a thin head, which quickly falls back. The aroma is sweet and slightly fruity, showing a faint whiff of hops. On the palate, crisp light bitterness up front quickly gives way to a light-bodied sweetness. This is competent “international-style pilsner” — no more, no less. If that’s what you’re looking for, this one is fine, but don’t expect it to light up your tapas.

  • Roger Protz

Spanish lager beer brewed in Barcelona with Franco/German technology: the brewery was founded in 1876 by August Kuentzmann Damm from Alsace. The exceptionally pale beer has a grainy and corn aroma with some hop resins and light citrus fruit. Light hop bitterness breaks through in the mouth, balanced by juicy malt. The finish is short with developing hop bitterness and light malt. Bitter for the style, it would go well in with tapas and other Spanish food.
