The St. Peter’s Brewery is based at St. Peter, South Elmham, near Bungay in Suffolk. The brewery itself was built in 1996 and is housed in range of traditional former agricultural buildings adjacent to St. Peter’s Hall.

St. Peter's beers definitely grab your attention, encased in their cool-looking old-style bottles. Surprisingly the light-green color didn't affect the quality of this particular beer, although one might be a bit concerned about it being light struck if the beers aren't handled properly.
Right from the aroma, this bright golden ale from England's East Anglia tells you it's not going to be one of those frothy, airhead blondes. This one smells big and full, with smooth, honeyed malt leading the way. Velvety pale malt, a prickle of carbonation and a firm bite of hops, along with perfumed honey notes, follow in the mouth, confirming that this is not your typical, citrus-dominated golden ale, although there is a hint of marmalade in the taste. Sappy hop notes then help dry the bitter finish. It's a little cloying at times, perhaps, but otherwise a substantial, solid beer.
