Elevation To Release Apis IV Quadrupel

By Win Bassett - May 7, 2012

(Poncha Springs, CO) – On May 19th, Elevation Beer Company will celebrate their Tasting Room grand opening with a launch party featuring the brewery’s first Black Diamond Series release Apis IV.

The grand opening will take place on May 19th from 12:00pm until 9:00pm and will feature two live bands, food provided by several local artisan food vendors, and of course, eight specialty craft beers brewed by Elevation and poured from their custom draft system and hand-built bar.

“After two years of planning, Elevation Beer Company is so excited to open our tasting room to the public and celebrate our grand opening,” says General Manager Carlin Walsh. “Our tasting room will have eight different Elevation beers on tap and moving forward we will be offering tours every weekend to teach people more about making beer and the fantastic beers we make.”

The May 19th grand opening will also double as the launch party for Apis IV, a Dark Belgian Strong Ale, and Elevation’s first bottle release in their Black Diamond Series of seasonal specialty beers.

“Apis IV combines both Belgian candi sugar and local honey to create huge notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and caramel,” says Head Brewer Christian Koch. “It is our first cork and caged bottle release and will be available across the Denver Metro area, Colorado Springs, and the High Country in June.”

Elevation’s May 19th grand opening will feature food from Breckenridge’s Stella’s Hungry Horse and Salida’s Smoke n’ Dawgs food vendors, as well as live music starting at 3:00pm from Denver’s Trout Steak Revival and Chaffee County local legend, Jonah Werner. Entrance to the event is free for all ages, remember to bring the family early because they will not want to miss the root beer floats on sale from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

The event also co-insides with American Craft Beer Week, a national celebration of craft beer in America running May 14-20th.

Following the grand opening, regular tasting room hours will be Saturday and Sunday 12:00-8:00pm and Monday-Friday 3:00-Close.
