Firestone Walker released their anniversary beer 13. The limited release, barrel aged beer has been popular with beers fans because, as brewmaster Matt Brynildson says in the press release, “The care and time that went into this blend is more akin to wine than beer.”

Made of a blend of imperial stouts and browns, as well as barley wines, the beer spent over two years aging in a combination of retired rye, bourbon and wine barrels giving it a one-of-a-kind flavor. It has deep, dark chocolate notes with hints of molasses complimenting the coconut and vanilla notes brought in by the oak.
