(West Grove, PA) – To celebrate the explosion of Philadelphia breweries, Prism Brewing Company, Evil Genius Beer Company, and Round Guys Brewing Company have formed an alliance to help showcase the best of what the next generation of Philadelphia breweries have to offer. We expect that this collaborative effort will expand to the more next generation breweries as they continue to develop in the Philadelphia area.

In its’ first undertaking, we have collaborated to create a beer for Philly Beer Week. Brewvolution No. 1 will debut at Opening Tap at Independence Hall on June 1st and be available throughout Philly Beer Week at select locations.

Brewvolution No. 1
A collaboration beer with Prism involved couldn’t be a classic style by any means. So instead of putting a twist with adjuncts, the brewers opted for a twist on the popular black IPA by making it a Belgian Black IPA. At 7.6% ABV and 76 IBU’s, this is a true Philly Beer. Prism’s grain bill creates an utterly opaque Black color. Evil Genius’ hop bill uses hops from all three breweries which combine to produces aromas that engulf the senses while a hop bitterness smacks the taste buds the way IPA drinkers love. Supported by Round Guys Belgian Ale yeast, this beer brings you a triple threat of delight.

Here are the stats:
