Pizza Hut To Serve Beer In India

By Greg Barbera - January 3, 2012

American restaurant chain Pizza Hut plans to open 25 more outlets across India that will also serve wine and beer along with pizzas. Pizza Hut currently operates 10 such stores in Delhi and Bangalore. The further expansion would be via the franchise format. Pizza Hut India marketing head Sunay Bhasin said the company saw a growth of nearly 20 to 25 percent in this format. Bhasin said the expansion will help the company in diversifying and offering and adding a more value-added service. He said that the major thrust areas for expansion would be big cities with the standard franchise model. “Our plan is to have a presence of about 250 stores by 2015 from the current 131 stores that we have in 34 cities,” Bhasin added.
