(Press Release)

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.–Sun King Brewery will host the 3rd annual Sun King CANvitational canned craft beer festival in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, September 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Located on the west block of Georgia Street, known for Super Bowl XLVI festivities and the famed Pan Am Plaza, this year’s CANvitational will showcase more than 50 craft breweries from all over America and beyond. Award-winning breweries will offer samples of craft beer, and patrons can enjoy local food trucks and live music, all in an urban downtown atmosphere.

Tickets are on sale now and available at both Sun King locations or canvitational.com. A sampling glass will be provided to each ticket holder.

Pricing is as follows:

· General Admission: $40 advanced / prices increase to $50 August 28

· General Admission $60 day of event

· Early Entry at Noon: $75

· Designated Driver (access at Noon): $10
Soda, water, and coffee are available. Designated Driver tickets do not include beer sampling.

The invited breweries were selected because of the quality of craft beer they are producing and, as the name of the event suggests, the festival will feature breweries that can their beers. Since craft beer’s inception in the 1980s, bottles have been the most commonly associated with craft beer. However, over the last decade the breweries featured at the CANvitational have led a revival of craft canning and helped change the way people view cans.

“We have invited our friends from across the country who share our passion for crafting world class beers and we are excited to showcase what they do and why we choose to can,” said Sun King Co-Founder Clay Robinson. “The most exciting part is that the majority of the beers available at the CANvitational aren’t even available in Indiana, which gives us the opportunity to provide a truly unique experience.”
