The label, a new technology shrink-wrap, covers the bottle handsomely. The color is deep copper with a cap of lingering creamy bubbles. Fruity, floral, perfumed nose, followed by a round, full-bodied, dry and almost honey-like malty flavor. Although it’s loaded with hops, the strong flavors balance with the malt.We drank it with grilled wild Washington steelheadl; local organic cabbage and potato soup with caraway; and organic Yakima Valley “Honey Crisp Apples.”

Gem-like copper color with floral and fruity hop and fermentation aroma. Wonderful full flavor of hops and malt complexity—a marvelous India pale ale that doesn’t blow your palate away yet provides gusto. A great beer to complement a meal or pass the time with friends and conversation. A mood beer that conjures up memories of life’s better qualities. This is all about beer personality—it’s got it.

“A Pint A Day Keeps Scurvy Away” the label promises, recalling the time when casks of ale were essential on sea voyages to keep the crew healthy. This bronze-colored beer has a superb aroma of piney hops and tart fruit reminiscent of blood oranges and gooseberries. Intensely bitter hops dominate the palate, underscored by biscuity malt. The finish is hoppy, with an iron-like note, but dryness is offset by good malt notes and a persistent bittersweet fruitiness.
