Firestone Walker Leo V. Ursus: FortemJune 8, 2017
A reminder that “unfiltered” can result, after time, in a beer that is easy to see through. The brewery’s ability to coax subtle yet vibrant flavors from hops is nearly unmatched. Traditional citrus and pine flavors of an IPA are present, joined by melon, blueberry, honey blossom and what seems like a new fruit flavor with each sip. It’s creamy and crisp at the same time. This might be the beer that brokers peace between the old-school and new-school hop heads.
