Poland has a long brewing history that is closely tied to the great lager traditions in the Czech Republic and Germany. Today, over 70 breweries operate in Poland: a few large companies are associated with international concerns, but the majority are independently owned.
Original gravity: N/A
Less well known than its Czech neighbors, Poland has a long history of brewing. Sadly, the three largest international conglomerates now control most breweries. Beers are well made but there is little to distinguish them from other light golden lagers. Here, the head dissipates quickly leaving little aroma behind. Malty on the palate with only the slightest hop presence, the beer is clean without defects. Pair with piroshki and boiled new potatoes.

Perfectly golden with a hint of haze. Pure pils beer aroma, hops included though almost a bluff. A predominantly malty, sweet, light lager with a woozy hop bitterness that evolves quite nicely. Refreshing and clean. Quite welcome option in the world of debittered light chugging lager. When in Poland, it’s worth seeking.
