Firefighter Uses Coors Banquet Beer to Extinguish Fire

An off-duty firefighter on Monday extinguished a fire using cans of Coors Banquet beer.

According to The Houston Chronicle, Capt. Craig Moreau of Houston was driving on Texas 71 when he saw an 18-wheeler on fire. The Houston firefighter, who was returning from a trip to Austin, initially fought the fire with a small extinguisher. When Moreau asked the driver what he was hauling, the driver responded, “It’s beer!  It’s all beer.”

Moreau and the driver started spraying and shaking cans of Coors Banquet beer and eventually extinguished the fire.

“I have no doubt if the beer hadn’t been there, the whole trailer would have burned up,” Moreau told The Houston Chronicle. “A few more minutes down the road and it may not have worked.”
