(Greensboro, NC) – Natty Greene’s Brewing Co. is excited to announce the release of their newest seasonal beer, Freedom American IPA, just in time for the 4th of July!

The Freedom was first brewed as the in-house IPA at the Raleigh pub on Jones Street by Mike Morris, but it developed such a following that owners Chris Lester and Kayne Fisher decided to pick it up as a seasonal for the brewing company.

Freedom American IPA is 6.5 percent ABV and is medium-bodied with an American hop aroma and bitterness. Each batch receives 30-lbs of dry hops at 15-bbl batch size, which translates to about 2-lbs per bbl in the cellar. Head Brewer Sebastian Wolfrum describes the Freedom as an “American IPA with a nice malt body emphasis to support the strong hop aroma. Both together make it a smooth IPA that does not have an overly bitter profile. It finishes out with an aftertaste of malt and hop bitterness that does not linger very long, which Natty Greene’s regards as one of our signature elements of our beers.”

The beer is available at both brewpubs in Raleigh and Greensboro, as well as in chain and independent retailers and on tap across North Carolina. This is a seasonal brew, which will be available throughout the summer. Follow @Natty_Greeneswww.facebook.com/NattyGreeneswww.NattyGreenes.com for more beer and brewery updates.
