(Press Release)

DOWNINGTOWN, PA—Swing Session Saison, the jazzy spring seasonal by Victory Brewing Company® (Victory) is back on shelves this February and ready to tempt taste buds into the spring.  The Belgian style ale will be available through April and boasts spicy aromatic qualities with a citrus snap and fresh finish.

Saisons, which trace their heritage to Belgian farmhouse brews, were traditionally produced in the cooler months and then stored away until summer months for laborers to consume. The beers were highly carbonated, fruity and spicy in order to enliven and quench the thirst of farm workers in the warmer months. Taking a cue from the traditional styles, Victory’s Swing Session Saison is 4.5% ABV, made with two row German malts, whole flower German and American hops and features peppercorns and lemon zest for a zippy finish.

Swing Session Saison is available for purchase in many bottle shops, beer distributors and major gourmet grocery stores, including most Whole Foods Markets and Wegmans locations along the East Coast, as well as at many craft beer bars throughout Victory’s national distribution footprint. The suggested retail price for a six-pack is approximately $9.99, depending on location. Use Victory’s Beerfinder at www.victorybeer.com/beerfinder to discover a nearby location, or download the free Victory Mobile app for Android or iPhone.

A perfect beer to enjoy throughout spring as the sun heats things up, al fresco dinners become en vogue and Mother Nature gets a little more pep in her step. Based on its flavor profiles, Swing Session Saison pairs perfectly with a variety of foods ranging from spicy to salty and is refreshingly calm and drinkable.  It can be enjoyed with a soft pretzel, Thai mussels, tangy vinegar-based barbecue and even different salsas.

“Swing is a great beer to welcome the warmer weather, giving you the first hint of spring with citrus and spice notes,” said President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski.
