(Press Release)

YPSILANTI/ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Slated for July 31–August 7, 2015, Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week’s second year will build on the success of last year’s inaugural event, featuring craft beer events in locations where craft beer is shared, sold, consumed and loved – area bars, restaurants, and retailers.

Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week is an educational celebration of craft beer within the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor communities. It is a weeklong series of events that are planned with some programmed element and feature craft beers presented by brewers or brewery representatives. Event attendees will have the opportunity to interact with staff of breweries while enjoying a variety of craft beers at events like tap take-overs, brewer presentations, brewery face-offs, beer dinners (or breakfasts), and more. Host locations work with breweries to plan events that are centered around craft beer, education, and fun.

Some of the events already on the schedule for Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week’s second year include a Short’s Pub Crawl, a Short’s Rooftop Garden Party, and a feature of “Big Beers” with Dogfish Head. There will also be some brewery vs. brewery events on the schedule with Tapistry Brewing Co. facing off against Atwater Brewery and Anderson Valley going head to head with Dogfish Head.
As beer weeks are social events designed for education and community enjoyment of craft beer, YABW has partnered with the social beer app, UNTAPPD for a special badge. UNTAPPD users who check into three different Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week events can unlock the official YABW 2015 badge.

Ypsi-Arbor Beer Week was created by (initiators) Imperial Beverage, in partnership with the Ypsilanti Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (Visit Ypsilanti), Ann Arbor Convention and Visitors Bureau, Rave Associates, Arbor Beverage Company, O&W Inc., and Daniel L. Jacob & Co. Events will be posted at www.visitypsinow.com/yabw and will also be promoted through Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #YABW2015.
