The light straw color of the pour, followed by a heavily carbonated head and lemon nose, make it evident that Full Sail‘s Berliner Weiss is made for summertime. A recreation of the traditional German beer, Chris’s Summer Delight is unfiltered and includes a 50 percent wheat malt bill and Hersbrucker hops.

The beer immediately evokes the sensation of lemon drops—the candy, not the cocktail—and ends with a dry, citrus, lactic finish. At 4 percent ABV, we could drink Chris’s beer all day long.

Chris’s Summer Delight, the latest in Full Sail’s Brewer’s Share series, was released in 22-oz. bottles and on draft in June and is available in Full Sail’s distribution area.
