What’s the right way to expand a brewery into new markets? Very carefully and with a targeted purpose. Doug Pominville, the director of Brewery Operations at 603 Brewery in New Hampshire is the guest on this episode of Brewer to Brewer and talks with Colby Chandler of All Things Agave.

Chandler and Pominville were brewing colleagues in San Diego and talk about a shared love of IPA, the early days of pushing the limits on hops in ale, and a love of spicy beers.

603 Brewery is looking to expand into new markets and Pominville talks about the market research that goes into such a move, and the expansion into RTDs, hard seltzers, and canned cocktails. As breweries evolve into more rounded beverage companies, his insight is a useful lesson for any brewer looking to navigate the turbulent waters of 2026.
