This week on the Drink Beer, Think Beer podcast it’s a conversation recorded at Notch Brewing, during the Forever Lager Festival. You’ll hear from the brewers of Wild East Brewing, Working Draft Beer Co., and Dovetail Brewery, a bunch of cool brewers doing cool things.

Guests

Brett Taylor is the cofounder and head of brewing at Wild East Brewing Co., Brooklyn, NY. He previously brewed at Fifth Hammer Brewing Co., Keg & Lantern and Strong Rope Brewery. He interned at Sixpoint and is a graduate of the American Brewer’s Guild. Before brewing he worked as a cartographer and graphics editor at The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He’s from Pittsburgh originally.

Clinton Lohman is the co-owner and head brewer at Working Draft Beer Company in Madison, WI. He grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and have been brewing professionally in the Madison area for 12 years.  Previously, he worked at the local homebrew shop, Wine and Hop Shop on and off for several years and also brewed at Vintage Brewing Company and Wisconsin Brewing Company before opening Working Draft with co-workers from the Wine and Hop Shop.  Working Draft is a small taproom and brewery on Madison’s near east side that opened in 2018 and focuses on European-style lagers and American-style hoppy ales.

Jenny Pfafflin is a brewer and marketing & creative manager at Dovetail Brewery, a brewery in Chicago that specializes in Continental European styles and traditional methods. She is also an Advanced Cicerone—which dovetails (heh) her interests in the traditions of both brewing and beer service.
