Tom Acitelli is a great writer and beer historian who spends the time doing the research that eventually bubbles up interesting stories. He was a longtime columnist for All About Beer and is the author of several books including  The Audacity of Hops: The History of America’s Craft Beer Revolution and Pilsner: How the Beer of Kings Changed the World, which the North American Guild of Beer Writers voted the best book of 2020.

His latest book is The Golden Age of Beer: A 52-Week Guide to the Perfect Beer for Every Week of the Year and will be released on February 25 by Apollo Publishers.

It is, as the press material that came with an advance copy says, full of “Acitelli’s inviting, accessible voice and dives into homebrewing, beer icons, today’s industry game-changers, and more. It cuts through the noise and the hype to leave you with a lush, inspiring, and reliable guide for sampling and entertaining all year long.”

After reading it, editor John Holl found no fault with that statement. Acitelli joins this episode of the Drink Beer, Think Beer podcast.
