Denver Rare Beer Tasting 14er is fast approaching. If you don’t have your tickets yet, now is the time to act while they are still available.

Visit the Pints for Prostates website to get all the details on the event, including the chance to review the incredible rare, exotic and vintage beers that 64 breweries are donating this year. It is truly one of the best pour lists in the history of the event.

Here are a few highlights:

Yes we have some very big beers, including three that come in above 20% ABV. Samuel Adams Brewing has created a special blend of the 2019 vintage of Utopias (28%)  exclusively for the Denver Rare Beer Tasting. River North Brewing will be pouring Quadruple Barrel Aged Anniversary 11 Stout (23.1%). And Free Will Brewing Dystopias (20.1%) is offering a still malt liquor that never leaves the brewery tasting room, except for its appearance at the event.

There are some very sessionable offerings on our list. The Big Friendly is pouring Oblique & Bent (4.2%), a petite saison that won GABF Gold in 2022. Jester King Brewery will bring SPON Three Year Blend (5.1%), a Belgian-style gueuze that they release once a year. Live Oak Brewing will serve American Zoigl (4.4%), a collaboration with Goldfinger Brewing that has origins in communal brewing traditions of the Bavarian countryside.

The diversity of the beers at the event is reflected beyond the massive spread in alcohol content. There are some truly unique styles to be found, like NoDa Brewing Twilight of the Thunder God Nordic Barrel Aged Imperial Stout, which uses Raw Ale brewing methods traditionally found in Scandinavia; Bow & Arrow Brewing Sunbloom Saison, infused with Navajo tribal-grown sumac berries and orange peel; and Wallenpaupack Brewing Bourbon Barrel Fermented Grodziskie, a Polish-style smoked wheat beer fermented in freshly dumped Heaven Hill barrel that is full of flavor and just 3.3% ABV.

Breweries are offering the chance to compare a vast range of wood finishings, plus an incredible selection of fruits, spices and other flavorful adjuncts, including vanilla, raw and toasted coconut, cacao nibs and husks, brown sugar, lime leaf, cinnamon, coffee, peanut butter, maple syrup, fir tips, chocolate, almonds, pistachios, assorted wine grapes, peaches, strawberries, black currants, cherries, blueberries and raspberries.

The taste buds of our guests will be treated to a memorable and delightful workout. The Denver Rare Beer Tasting raises funds for the Pints for Prostates campaign, a 501(c)3 charity that has been reaching people through the universal language of beer since 2008. All-inclusive tickets for the event include four hours of beer samples, buffet lunch, t-shirt, sampling glass and program. And we’ve partnered once again with the Prostate Conditions Education Council to offer a free health screening that takes just five minutes and could save your life.

Travel options still exist to get to Denver, with rooms available at hotels in the downtown area. Great American Beer Festival tickets are on sale and Denver Beer Week has posted more than 100 events at breweries and taprooms, making the Mile High City the perfect beercation destination.
