AleSmith’s Decadence Anniversary Ale was originally brewed in 2005 to celebrate the brewery’s first decade in business. Every year since, AleSmith’s brewers have commemorated their anniversary with a special beer in a new style. Now, ten years after brewing the first beer of the Decadence Series, the company is releasing a special hand-forged edition to celebrate their 20th anniversary: a Belgian Amber.
This complex, amber-hued ale was brewed with a substantial amount of Belgian and European malts that complement the spiciness imparted by Belgian abbey yeast. The result is a perfect balance between rich, toasty maltiness, Belgian Candi sugar and the light, floral profile of European hops. Customers can enjoy this hearty Belgian-inspired brew now or age at a cool temperature to increase its complexities.
To further commemorate its 20th anniversary, AleSmith is opening a new, state-of-the-art brewery, featuring a new 80-barrel brew system and larger tasting room. The new facility, which is just two blocks away from the original location, features a 105,500-square-foot space to allow the company to increase production ten-fold before reaching capacity. The new location will open later this year.
