MILWAUKEE, WIS.—

WHAT: Preview of Brew City MKE: Craft, Culture, Community, the 2016 major exhibition at the Milwaukee County Historical Society. The exhibition can be previewed at this time with photography or filming permitted. Interviews/previews can also be scheduled for other times, if needed.

WHEN: Friday, January 8th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Milwaukee County Historical Society, 910 N. Old World Third Street. Milwaukee, Wis. 53203

WHO: Ben Barbera, exhibit curator and Mame McCully, executive director will be on-hand for interviews or for questions. The Milwaukee County Historical Society is a non-profit organization and operates the downtown Historical Center as well as four historic sites located around Milwaukee County.

EXHIBIT INFORMATION: Brew City MKE is the first exhibition of its kind, and features rarely-seen artifacts and images that tell the story of how Milwaukee became the beer capital of the United States. The exhibition will begin on January 11th and continue through April 30th.

Brew City MKE will be available to the public Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults will be $7 per person and children 12 and under are free. A variety of special events related to the exhibit will be open to the public including happy hours, lectures and discussions, a Ladies Night, and other beer-focused events.
