KIHEI, Hawaii—Maui Brewing Company is thrilled to announce that it will be opening a restaurant in Kailua’s newly redesigned Lau Hala Shops in early 2018. The Kailua restaurant will be the Craft Brewery’s second location on Oahu. The first, located at the Waikiki Beachcomber, is expected to open this winter.
The new restaurant will be open seven days a week with a lunch and dinner menu showcasing locally sourced, carefully curated items that bring out the best in island-inspired dining. It will also feature award winning craft beverages, with dozens of craft beer taps as well as handcrafted sodas and cocktails.
“Highlighting the best the islands have to offer doesn’t stop at our food and drink menu,” adds Chris Thibaut, CEO of Maui Brewing Company Restaurants. “We wanted to bring the beauty of Hawaii into the design of the restaurant while incorporating MBC’s island craft industrial style. We’re excited to be working with Hawaii’s own Mark Higa, and his team at WCIT architecture, to help us bring this vision to life. The restaurant will be an upbeat, fun, and vibrant place to enjoy a cold craft beer and high quality food made in house, from scratch,” Thibaut continues.
“Craft beer is more than just beer, it’s a way of life that we look forward to sharing” says Garrett Marrero, Founder of Maui Brewing Company. “Kailua is such a vibrant, tight knit community, and we couldn’t be more excited to become part of the neighborhood.”
Maui Brewing Company’s production facility is currently on pace to brew 45,000 barrels in 2016. MBC is a fiercely local company and has remained steadfast in keeping its production local. Inspired by the motto “Handcrafted Ales & Lagers Brewed with Aloha”, the Maui Brewing Company team strives to be stewards of their communities and the aina, and curators of the craft beer way of life. Their beers have been awarded and recognized worldwide for quality and innovation.
