Sun King Cherry BuseyDecember 2, 2016
This classic style offered our panel a not-so-nuanced modern flavor, cherry pie. It wasn’t evident in the aroma with a mix of dried fruit, mostly fig, shortbread and a hint of spearmint. It was incredibly vibrant on the palate. Fresh cherry tartness with a bit of sugary sweetness. Malt came through nicely, adding some subtle shortbread and graham cracker as this sour transitions to a long and juicy cherry finish. Not for the diehard purist, but a delicious beer nonetheless.
