What role should artificial intelligence created art have within a brewery? Daniel True of Stepping Stone Brewery joins the Brewer to Brewer podcast this week and in a conversation with Andrew Hamilton of Wicklow Wolf Brewing Co., lays out the case to use AI to enhance art rather than replace it.

Stepping Stone is a brewery with purpose. True, who trained as a chef in Michelin starred kitchens, has brough much of the creativity and lessons learned in those enviroments to the Denmark brewery. This conversation centers around the value of human interaction and ability, from art to employees. Stepping Stone has made it a point to work with refugees in all aspects of the business and has seen not only business success but personal satisfaction on all sides.

He offers a call to action to his fellow brewers to consider widening their hiring pool and to look at the benefits of hiring refugees. The duo discuss the industry’s future, predicting a shift towards more competitive spaces and the need for breweries to adapt. Ultimately True promotes fostering a positive outlook, supporting artists, while not forgetting the social aspects of the industry, such as collaboration and community, as key to its success.
