farm-boy-farmsFarm Boy Farms

Farm Boy Farms in Pittsboro was created to provide locally grown American Malting Barley Association recommended barley, wheat and hops to the microbrewers and expert homebrewers of North Carolina. As we have expanded, we now grow AMBA 2-row, wheat, rye, milo and five varieties of hops on our farm. We control the entire process of our grains: planting, harvesting, debearding, seed cleaning, malting, kilning and packaging. Same goes for our hops, from planting and harvesting to drying and packaging. Quality, local ingredients allow brewers to create the freshest beer possible. Grown in NC to be brewed in NC.

logoredroughbevelRiverbend Malt

Riverbend Malt House pledges to provide the area’s craft brewers with locally-farmed, artisan malts that bring depth and character to their passion, while greatly lessening the local industry’s impact on the planet. By supporting the local farming economy, we provide guaranteed returns on an annual basis and work closely with our farmers to implement best management practices that reduce sediment and nutrient loading to the adjacent streams and waterways. It is our passion to develop a local food system for North Carolina’s craft breweries and to provide a durable economic engine for our state. We’ve expanded from our original, 1500-pound system to producing 12-16 tons of hand-crafted malt every month.

sticky-indian-hopsSticky Indian Hops

Sticky Indian Hops Co. is located on an 80-acre family farm in Candler.  Started in 2009, we grow several varieties of hops including one of the co-owners’ grandmother’s Native hop, which she used to make sleep-inducing pillows.  The name is derived from the fact that the hop field is located between two spring feed streams that Cherokee Indians used as a camp ground.  The hops have been used by several breweries including Charlotte’s Birdsong Brewery’s “Sticky Situation” wet hopped IPA.

house-of-brewsHouse of Brews

House of Brews was formed in 2013 by Heather and Patrick Lewis, and just celebrated its official brick-and-mortar grand opening this month. Heather, after watching her husband’s frustration when local shops did not have the supplies or ingredients he needed, had an epiphany. She decided it was time to build a homebrewer’s dream come true: a homebrew supply store dedicated to a wide variety of quality ingredients with a focus on customer relations and priding themselves on never stocking out of an item. We hope that her dream quickly becomes your dream come true, as well as your one-stop shop for everything you need to create your next favorite cold, malty adult beverage.

salud-beer-shopSalud Beer Shop

Salud Beer Shop is located in the North Davidson (NoDa) neighborhood of Charlotte. We started out as a bottle shop promoting local and regional craft beers. Today, we continue to grow with 12 beers on tap, and hundreds of craft beer bottles and cans from all over the world. In the very near future, Salud is expanding to include a 1-barrel nanobrewing system that will feature a rotating selection of beer from local homebrewer clubs and collaborations with local breweries. We’ll also have a more robust selection of food available, including sandwiches, dips, cheese and charcuterie.

tasty beverageTasty Beverage Co.

It has an extensive selection of around 1,200 packaged beers and six draft beers for your consumption and subsequent enjoyment.
