The difference between good lager and great lager is the accumulation of many small things.  One of those things is utilizing decoction mashing to create flavor and develop foam.  That itself raises questions of the modification of malt and the source of the barley.  And that, in turn, raises additional questions.

On this episode of Drink Beer, Think Beer guest host Don Tse talks with Brendan Arnold of Alternate Ending Beer about how he makes sure all of these factors come together in their world-class lagers.
