On this episode of Brewer to Brewer, Adair Paterno of Sante Adairius Rustic Ales interviews Tim Adams, the founder of Oxbow Brewing Company in Maine. Adams discusses his journey from homebrewing in Washington, DC, to establishing Oxbow in Newcastle, Maine, in 2011.

The brewery specializes in farmhouse ales and lagers, with no IPAs. Tim highlighted the challenges of brewing on a farm, including water management and waste disposal. In 2014, he opened a blending and bottling facility in Portland to expand production. Earlier this year Adams completed the acquisition of Rising Tide Brewing Company, emphasizing the synergies and cost savings.

Oxbow’s new project, Striper Season, aims to raise awareness and funds for striped bass conservation.
